PETER GLENVILLE clarinet Peter Glenville was born in 1978 and began playing the clarinet under the tuition of Barry Carbon at the age of fifteen. He read his undergraduate at Birmingham Conservatoire with Michael Harris, and then went on to complete his studies at the Royal College of Music, on the postgraduate diploma course. He has received numerous scholarships and awards, including 1st prize in the Shell chamber music competition. In 2000 he gave a broadcast for BBC Radio 3 of the Messiaen Quatour pour la fin de temps. He also works regularly with the British philharmonic concert orchestra, English pro-Musica and the heart of England orchestra. Peter has given many solo and chamber music recitals, and has performed concerti with the Aurora Chamber Orchestra the Norfolk Sinfonia and the Thalian Ensemble. He has given many premieres of new works by both student and professional composers. In 2005 peter was appointed clarinet teacher at Keele University.
